SEMAE

The FN3PT is an active member of the following bodies :

SEMAE (formerly GNIS) in an interbranch organisation. A forum for dialogue, exchange and decision making, serving the industry's professionnal families and seed users. SEMAE promotes the industry in France and abroad.

Among the 9 sections, the FN3PT is a member of the Seed Potato Section. The section helps to set-up interbranch agreements, promotional actions and research and development initiatives. FN3PT participates in this work through various committees, especially R&D committee. SEMAE's seed potato section and FN3PT both finance R&D projects entrusted to the ITA inov3PT (https://www.plantdepommedeterre.org/recherche-developpement/).

SEMAE promotes quality through communication campaigns in France in both the agricultural and garden markets. This communication includes a website dedicated to the seed potato and is both managed by SEMAE and FN3PT.

FN3PT is also a member of the seed diversity section.

National Health and Environmental Risk Mutualisation Fund

Seed potato section

To implement, where appropriate, compensation programmes for seed potato production in mainland France.

The National Health and Environmental Risk Mutualisation Fund delegates the tasks of collecting subscriptions and running the specialised section to FN3PT.

FN3PT is a member of the Board and therefore also participates in the governance of the fund.

Special specifications for the production of seed potatoes have been introduced for periods of three years in order to minimise the risk of quarantine pests.

Solutions Contract

FN3PT is one of 45 partners from the world of agriculture forming an association 'Solutions Contract' in 2019 (under the French law of 1901).

Committed to reducing the use and impact of plant protection products, as well as preserving pollinators, the Solutions Contract Association all 45 partners deploy a positive approach to these issues.

FN3PT is also a member of the association's board.

FN3PT and inov3PT contributed to the drafting of the 'potato' factsheets.

COPA-COGECA

The Copa (Committee of professional agricultural organisations) represents over 22 millions European farmers and their families in a combined effort to promote the best interests of the agricultural sector to EU institutions and other stakeholders.

FN3PT participates in COPA's working parties as a member of FNSEA, and especially in the potato, seed and plant protection working parties.

European Seed Potato Growers (ESPG)

ESPG (European Seed Potato Growers association) association is made up of seed potato growers from France, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Spain and Scotland. FN3PT chairs this group and provides the secretariat function for the group.

ESPG participates in the working parties of COPA and communicates with various European organisations involved in potato production.

LA POMME DE TERRE FRANCAISE

'La Pomme de Terre Française' is the potato industry's number one bi-monthly trade magazine.

Published for the first time in 1938 by the French Federation of Seed Potato Growers, from the field to processing, the magazine offers extensive coverage of current events in the profession, technical dossiers produced by engineers in the sector, a section devoted to seed potatoes and much more.

FN3PT is a shareholder in the magazine, along with Fedepom, UNPT and CNIPT. The editorial committee is completed by the participation of Arvalis.
